DVD & Video Production

Desktop DVD, video and multimedia has finally become a affordable for small businesses, schools and community service groups. Fun, spontaneous, friendly, the DVD multimedia project is a popular business tool, fund raiser or end product rendered from the desktop. Project costs range from $2000 to $10000.

Below: Moulding Masters in Concord, CA had a big jump in business after renovating their web site and adding web videos of projects. Today's consumer shops on line, enjoys entertainment value but wants good pricing. The East Bay customer spends 4 to 10 minutes watching a variety of videos on use of moulding, and places order. The friendly, competent staff and meticulous craftsmen give Moulding Masters a very high rate of repeat business. Saturday morning workshops are another customer service - finish carpenters teach moulding installation trade secrets.

Client Profile: David Lichman is a Parelli Instructor specializing in the needs of gaited horses. The animation shows the movement and footfall of a natural Tennessee Walking Horse, a true 4 beat walk without the use of weighted shoes. The bobbing head is a characteristic of the true walk. David helps owners of gaited horses progress through the Parelli system with his two volume series "Gaited Horses, Naturally." Is DVD / Video for you?

Consider offering your informational DVD or video for purchase rather than mailing or handing out. This way you get something back on your investment, but more importanty, your materials go to customers who really want them - not some one who is just going to throw them away.

At trade shows, if you need to give them away you can put a "$25 value" sign on your give away, and continue your practice of selling them from your website and/or store.

For non-profits, it is even more appropriate to offer these materials for a price to supporters, not end users. The additional income stream will be perceived as efficiency.

For others, the DVD/video may be developed as a full out product designed to compete on the shelf in a retail setting. You may surprised, but look at the trends - women are watching home improvement shows, power tool companies are targetting them with smaller tools appropriate for the woman user.
