This is a breath taking photo and you can almost smell fermenting grapes in the autumnal image with late harvest colors against fluffy clouds and an azure sky. This photo was taken in the charming town of Asti, famed for Asti Spumante.

One of the most beautiful views in Sonoma County, looking north over head trimmed old vine Zinfandel vines to Healdsburg. Shot on Westside Road, one of the prettiest drives in Sonoma, running from Healdsburg to Guerneville. Russian River AVA.

This beautiful display of olive trees is along the Geyserville Winery vineyards. This photo is a shimmery, exquisitely detailed image showing the rough bark of the trees and the beautiful silvers, greys and greens of the olive trees. Late afternoon sun gives an overall feeling of warmth. Very classical in feeling!

Even though the newer wineries are very glamorous there is still the charm of the older farms and vineyards. This is a late afternoon shot over th e sun kissed upper canes of an autum vineyard looking past an oak bough to an old wind mill in the shadows of the past.

The brilliant ruby and cranberry tones of the late harvest are beautifully displayed against the olives and dun colors of the Alexander Valley Hills. The leaves are backlit and glow with warmth and a dazzling array of colors.

SaraLee Vineyard with Lichens

SARALEE VINEYARD WITH LICHENS

Lichens are a part of the terroir of the Russian River AVA, due to the prevailing fog and marine effect of the nearby coast. This photo is a color study of the harvest vines in late October, against a building covered with ochre colored lichen growth.
